What a Website Actually Costs in Nepal

Quotes for the same brief in Nepal routinely differ by five times. The spread comes down to three things: whether the site is a bought template or built for you, whether SEO and speed are handled during the build or bolted on later, and whether the person quoting will still answer their phone in six months. These are my honest bands.

What Nepal Businesses Usually Get Wrong

Buying a design, not a business asset

A site that looks good but loads in six seconds on a 4G phone will lose most of its visitors before they see it. Over 90% of Nepal's web traffic is mobile, so mobile load time matters more than desktop polish.

Leaving SEO until after launch

Retrofitting schema, URL structure and page speed after a site is built costs more than doing it during the build, and usually means paying two people. Decide the keyword targets before the page structure is fixed.

Not owning the accounts

If your developer holds the domain, hosting and analytics under their own account, you do not really own your website. Every account should be registered in your name from day one. Mine always are.

Skipping analytics

Without GA4 and Search Console connected at launch, you have no way to tell whether the site works. Both are free and take under an hour to configure properly.

How the Build Runs

  1. Scope and fixed quote. We agree the page list, features and price in writing before anything starts. No hourly surprises.
  2. Content and structure. You supply text and images, or I write the structure and you approve it. Keyword targets are decided here, not later.
  3. Build. Mobile-first, with schema markup, compressed images and Core Web Vitals handled as I go.
  4. Review. Two rounds of revisions are included in every quote.
  5. Launch and handover. Domain, hosting, GA4 and Search Console all set up in your name, with a walkthrough so you can update content yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build a website in Nepal?
Basic business website: 1–2 weeks. E-commerce: 3–6 weeks. Custom web app / SaaS MVP: 2–4 months. Timeline depends on how quickly you provide content and feedback.
How many revisions are included?
I include 2 rounds of revisions in every project. Additional revisions or scope changes beyond the agreed spec are quoted separately before implementation.
Who handles hosting?
You own your hosting account and pay directly - I don't mark up hosting. I'll recommend and set up the right platform (Vercel, DigitalOcean, or Hostinger) for your needs.
Do you provide maintenance after launch?
Bug fixes discovered within 30 days of launch are free. Optional ongoing maintenance is available - contact me for details based on your project's needs.

Ready to build something great?

Tell me about your project. I'll scope it, quote it, and let you decide - no pressure, no sales pitch.
